Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Describe the structures and forces that influence the development of health in all policy at global, national and local levels.
2.
Describe current Australian policies that influence health, how they are developed and how they are shaped by other policy agendas.
3.
Develop and apply an analytical framework for critically appraising public health policy.
4.
Analyse and critique the formulation of policy at state and/or national levels, including roles played by key stakeholders and groups, using relevant theoretical frameworks.
